Darth Vader , the legendary Sith Lord from Star Wars , has made his way into Fortnite as part of a major crossover event. While he isn’t an AI-controlled bot, you can play as AI Darth Vader in Creative Mode or certain limited-time modes that allow character selection.
Here’s how to use AI Darth Vader in Fortnite , including how to unlock him, activate his abilities, and dominate the battlefield with the power of the Dark Side.
Step 1: Find a Map That Features AI Darth Vader
AI Darth Vader is not available in all standard Fortnite modes like Battle Royale or Zero Build. You’ll need to:
- Open the Creative Browser in Fortnet
- Search for maps or islands labeled “Star Wars” or “Darth Vader”
- Join a map where Darth Vader is playable or present as an NPC
Some community-made or Epic Games-featured maps let you spawn as Darth Vader or fight him as a boss.
Step 2: Unlock and Spawn as Darth Vader
Once you’re on a compatible map:
- Look for a spawn menu or character selection panel
- Choose Darth Vader from the list of available characters
- Some maps may require you to collect a Force token , complete a challenge, or find a holocron to unlock him
If playing in Creative Mode , map creators can enable Darth Vader as a preset character.
Step 3: Use Darth Vader’s Special Abilities
When you’re playing as Darth Vader, you gain access to powerful Force-based abilities , weapons, and tools:
Key Features:
- Lightsaber : Primary weapon — slash enemies or block incoming attacks
- Force Push : Knock back groups of enemies or send vehicles flying
- Choke : Lift and strangle enemies one at a time (similar to a stun or capture ability)
- Jetpack : Quickly reposition or escape danger
- Stormtrooper Support : Some maps allow you to call in reinforcements or drones
Use these wisely to control the battlefield and outplay opponents.
Step 4: Play Smart and Dominate
Playing as Darth Vader gives you an edge, but strategy still matters:
- Stay mobile — don’t get surrounded by squads
- Use the environment — choke enemies off ledges or push them into water
- Save abilities for key moments — don’t waste Force Push on just one opponent
- Be aware of cooldowns — some maps limit how often you can use your powers
With practice, you’ll become a feared presence on the battlefield.
